On Tuesday, Andhra Pradesh
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu lit the Amaravati Sankalpa Jyothi torch at
the Amaravati Sankusthapana Area near the main dais to mark the beginning of
works for the new capital. He, along with ministers and officials, visited the
venue and inspected the arrangements. Meanwhile, all works are complete at
Uddandarayunipalem for Thursday’s ceremony. Water and soil collected under the
“Our Amaravati-Our Water-Our Soil” project from all over the state have also
reached the venue.

reached Vijayawada where Olympian weightlifter Kanam Malleswari with ministers
D. Umamaheswara Rao and P. Sunitha launched the Sankalpa Jyothi rally to
Uddandarayunipalem after performing special pujas at the Kanakadurga temple.
